Auditioning for a TV series or film can be incredibly nerve-wracking. So what are producers' *really* looking for when they see your tape? And what little known secrets are implemented into virtually all auditions scripts to test your range?? You’ll be surprised... and you’re about to get the answers!
Every set is different, but there are some basics that are universal. So many people who walk onto a professional set for the first time aren’t aware of the essential DO’s and DONT’s to follow so that they don’t end up becoming “that” performer. Let’s fix that. Click the link below and book in to a session to find out.
Working on a soap opera (or “serial drama” for those who [crazily in my mind] balk at the word ‘soap’) is an experience like no other. The ultimate teaching school and training ground, you quickly need to learn to swim or you’ll drown. Find out all you need to know about working on a soap opera... and ask for some BTS scoop about your favourite shows, too!
The workload of a limited series as opposed to a long run series/soap seems, from the outset, a doddle. Less episodes, less lines to learn... right? Wrong. And with limited series increasingly becoming the norm (especially with the exponential proliferation of streaming services) the differences you need to know are imperative if you want to see your name on a call sheet.
Everyone has a story to tell...but not everyone knows how to get that story onto the page in the form of a script that any producer or studio will be willing to read. This session will explore the basics, as well offer advice on being realistic. Remember, for every show/film that’s made, a gazillion more aren’t. So how do you make your mark? This course is the 101 of what you need to know.
Once you’ve chosen your date & time, click on the BOOK NOW link below, fill out the form with your name, email address and the date/time you wish to attend (you can use the corresponding labelling letter if it’s easier: ‘A’, ‘B’ (etc.) and an invoice will be forwarded to you to secure your spot!!!
From drama to comedy, documentary to shiny floor formats, the DMBP slate has it all.
